Mental Health & Well-being
How We Work
At Cedar Tree Mental Health and Wellbeing, we work with organisations, communities and public sector bodies to strengthen mental health and wellbeing in ways that are practical, ethical and sustainable. Our approach supports HR teams, senior leaders, line managers and community leaders to create environments where wellbeing is understood, prioritised and embedded into everyday practice.
Our work is guided by the following principles:
- Psychologically safe and compassionate
We support workplaces and community settings to create cultures where people feel respected, listened to and able to talk openly about mental health without fear of stigma or judgement.
- Practical and evidence‑informed
Our work is grounded in real‑world challenges across workplaces, community services and public sector settings. We focus on realistic approaches that can be applied consistently, supporting early intervention, prevention and long‑term wellbeing rather than reactive responses.
- Person‑centred and inclusive
We recognise that individuals experience work, services and community life differently depending on role, responsibility and personal circumstances. Our approach reflects the diversity of people and settings, promoting fair, consistent and compassionate support.
- Collaborative and capacity‑building
We work in partnership with organisations, statutory services, voluntary and community groups, strengthening internal confidence, skills and systems so that mental health support is embedded and sustainable rather than dependent on external input.
We believe that strong mental health and wellbeing cultures are shaped by everyday behaviours, leadership practice and shared values. Whether working with employers, public sector organisations or community services, we support leaders and teams to build confidence in having meaningful conversations, responding appropriately to mental health needs and modelling healthy ways of working. Our aim is to help organisations and communities move beyond isolated initiatives towards cultures where wellbeing is integrated, responsibility is shared and people feel supported to thrive.
