THE CHALLENGES
Check out the challenges people have done on YouTube or by search the hashtag #MakeTheCallChallenge on social media
By the way, if you record a video for this and you’re happy for me to upload it to the campaign, please avoid adding music. It’s usually copyrighted, so I can’t use it.
THE REALITY
In the UK, in one year:
7,147 people died by suicide
5,360 were men
That’s almost 15 men every day
75% of suicides are men
Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death for men under 50
These are not just numbers.
They are people. Families. Friends. Colleagues.
SO WHAT CAN WE DO?
We can start with something simple.
We can reach out.
We can
check in.
We can
make the call.
Because sometimes, one call, one message, one moment of connection
can mean more than we ever realise.
THE CHALLANGE
Part I
Starting Monday 15th June 2026 for 7 days - Each day:
15 sit-ups
15 push-ups
15 squats
Part II
And most importantly…
make the call
Call someone
Text someone
Send a message
A quick check-in
A simple “thinking of you”
A “how are you really?”
Whether you think they are struggling or not,
the call matters.
Part III (optional)
Then post on social media..... nominate others to join in.

DO WHAT YOU CAN
You do not have to do everything perfectly.
Do what feels right for you.
The action matters.
The connection matters more.
